Unusual Items From time to time unusual items of interest come our way here are some examples currently on offer. Here is an unusual item, from the past. Golden Novelty Turtle Spittoon. It is about 11" across, 4" high and 14" long. The bottom is heavy iron, the shell and pot are tin. When the head is stepped on... The shell opens and remains open... When the shell is stepped on again... it closes. These turtles were used apparently in High-Class Hotels, Saloons and Brothels. Manufacturer stamped "The Chicago Novelty Company, in the 1890's." It is all original and is in exceptional, aged, condition however origin of insert is unknown. Recently sold.. Sold
